We are a not-for-profit organization that provides high quality outdoor programs for new and experienced paddlers, kids, families, schools and other outdoor professionals.

For the past 10 years we have been teaching, learning and building strong programs which recognize the value that being active in the outdoors can bring to people’s lives.

Contributing to the growth of an active and healthy community is an important part of who we are. Access to active outdoor recreation programs helps to build vibrant and strong communities. We are committed to opening doors and making it easier for you to get outside and paddle Ontario’s beautiful rivers. We provide the most professional, safe and fun outdoor learning experience possible—taking care to tread responsibly on the environment in which we work. Join us to celebrate 10 years!

Why a Co-op?

Why do we operate as a not-for-profit co-operative? The reasons are clear to us. Co-ops are a progressive and sustainable model that benefits a greater number of people. As an outdoor, activity based co-op, we are able to provide exceptional and professional programs as a reasonable cost to you. This makes learning and participating in outdoor activities accessible to a wider array of people. Unlike conventional businesses, the success of a co-op is measured not by the generation of profits, but how well it addresses the needs and interests of its members.

Healthy Communities with KidActive
KidActivePaddler Co-op is committed to supporting and providing access to active and healthy living. We are currently focusing our efforts on the development of KidActive - a community-based initiative that aims to teach kids about the long term benefits of being active and to provide accessible and fun physical activities outside of school.

With support from our local businesses over the last few years, we have been able to subsidize spots for more than 40 deserving children in our local community. A special thanks to Hometown Restaurant, Remax, Dr. Coulas, Barry's Bay Outfitters and Pastway Planing Ltd for your support last season!

If you are interested in sponsoring a child, call our office anytime! Help make our community a happy, healthy one - ensuring that children and youth have the opportunity to get out, get active, and build a solid foundation for future generations.
