RESOURCES

Transitional Canoe (Tandem or Solo)

Throughout this course, we will focus on fine-tuning your strokes and perfecting your whitewater maneuvers.  With these practised skills in your toolbox, you will find yourself negotiating more challenging rapids with composure and grace.  Whether your goal is to become self-sufficient and capable of running multi-day northern trips or you would simply like to brush up on your skills in order to enjoy many of our local rivers, this course will get you there.

Our intermediate programs are available to both solo and tandem boaters.   If you are a tandem boater without a partner, no worries, you can paddle with another course participant or with the instructor.

Great paddling comes with practise.  Our transitional canoe courses will be the perfect start!

Locations:

We run most of our transitional courses here in Palmer Rapids on the Madawaska River. The water is warm and the variety of rapids are appropriate for honing your skills.  Camping is conveniently located on our private site near the rapids or there is are excellent Bed & Breakfast options nearby for non-campers.

Dates for 2015: These courses run every week & weekend from May to October and are provided on a first come first served basis.

Gather your friends and organize your own whitewater introductory course or book into a clinic already in the works! Call or email us to book your course: 613-758-2772/info@paddlerco-op.com
