Whitewater Ontario
Recreational Moving Water Instructor (kayaking)

This nationally accredited program is designed for recreational paddlers who wish to introduce others into the sport of whitewater kayaking. Two days of focused technical training provide the basis for teaching flatwater and basic moving water skills.

Participants in this program must be competent in class 2+ whitewater and able to roll consistently. First-aid and CPR are required and the River Safety and Rescue (RSR) certification is recommended. Suitable for teachers/youth workers and other leaders interested in introducing paddling to others.

Course cost: $240.00 + HST (includes instructor manual and Whitewater Ontario membership)

Dates: late April/early May

Booking: Download and copy booking form - mail in with 100% payment

At the end of this program new instructors will have a good grasp of what to teach and how to teach but may lack the necessary experience required to teach effectively. Everything takes practice, right? Paddler Co-op offers you the opportunity to hone your instructional skills by working with an accomplished instructor as an assistant on one of our introductory courses. Please contact us if you are interested.
