Negotiating a line through a new rapid or learning different moves on a river that you know and love is what paddling is all about.

Join us for five days on the exceptional rivers of eastern Ontario and western Quebec, or just jump in with the group in for a day or two.

We will focus on river running skills, rapid assessment and playing on the varied sections of the Madawaska, Ottawa, Petawawa, Gatineau and Rouge rivers.

Dates for 2010:

  • May 24 to 28

  • June 21 to 25

  • July 12 to 16

  • August 16 to 20

Cost: $560.00 + Membership $5.00 + GST/HST. Includes PFD, paddle, helmet, your choice of canoe/kayak and of course, an excellent instructor.

Accomodation/Food: We encourage you to pack healthy and energy-rich food and lots of it! With this in mind we will alternate between cooking for ourselves and going out to sample the fine cuisine of the culture-soaked local eateries of the Ottawa Valley. Shared food, shared cooking, shared stories of the days adventures... all part of the paddling experience.

Accommodation is camping or B&B.

When you book, we will send you a list of what to bring and more details on the potential rivers to run. Much will depend on river levels at the time.
